We are now looking for a Scrum Master / Team Lead for the Downstream Software R&D department. As a Scrum Master / Team Lead at Cytiva, you will be responsible for leading a newly formed software development team that works alongside adjacent teams and functions to deliver software for our chromatography systems. You will ensure that your team has the conditions to deliver as an engaged and high-performing team where employees collaborate effectively to deliver in our projects.
Furthermore, you will work on refining our working methods within the team, department, and our development projects. You will also be an integral part of your team and support employees continuously in development, testing, planning, and/or documentation of the team's work, depending on your background and expertise. The position is a permanent employment and is based onsite at our site in Uppsala.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the team within agile methods and drive continuous improvements within the team and department.
- Work to create high psychological safety in the team, so that it becomes natural for the team to help each other deliver against set goals.
- Develop a strong collaboration with other development teams and with the management team.
- Coach and support product owners in managing the backlog.
- Share responsibility for the team's overall performance, continuously measuring and improving flow, quality, and customer value.
- Contribute to the development work in the team according to expertise.
- Collaborate with colleagues internationally.
Who Are You:
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in software development and who is attracted to creating holistic systems that help researchers and drug developers in their daily work. We seek someone with a good understanding of agile methods, project work, and how to build effective teams. We would like you to be confident in both your technical skills and your ability to lead teams, as well as comfortable collaborating with others to find solutions and achieve results.
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Software Engineering, Computer Science, Molecular Bioinformatics, or similar).
- Experience in software development with an emphasis on C#/.NET.
- Experience in product development and knowledge of product life cycles.
- We would like you to have experience in developing software as part of a complete system, where hardware and electronics are involved.
- Experience from previous roles as a Scrum Master, Team Lead, and/or project leader.
- Demonstrated experience in driving and implementing improvements in working methods and an agile mindset in organizations.
- Good experience working within the framework of a quality system and an understanding of its importance for ensuring the platform's future quality.
- Fluent communication in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
